Is This Where I Submit?

Is this where I submit my poem?
Right here?
Okay….
All I need to do is…
Don’t read the other entries.
Don’t read the other entries.
Don’t read the other entries.
I just have to submit my poem here and…
Holy crap!
These writers are much better poets than me.
That’s not fair.
Look at this guy here.
His first line is longer than my whole poem.
Hey buddy, have you ever heard of a period?
And this person over here is writing about Nicaragua.
Is that like a place or something?
What the hell is Nicaragua?
And can I please point out to the judges of this contest that one of the contestants is not using proper English?
Those aren’t real words!
That writer put together some syllables and vowels and made up half of what he is saying.
He should be disqualified!
I don’t care how nice it all sounds.
It isn’t English!
Also I’d like to mention that I did not understand one of the writer’s rambling.
She may have been using a motif half the time, but I’m not sure.
New rule: If I don’t understand your poem, you are disqualified.
In fact, I propose a new set of rules for this contest.
1. No writer can write about stuff that I know nothing about.
2. No writer can write with words that I don’t know.
3. No writer can write with symbolism that is over my head.
I gotta say, if this contest uses these rules, I think I have a chance.
